Welcome to the Privacy Policy of “innohubwestathens.gr” (hereinafter: the “website”).
This protection policy informs you about how we process your personal data as a visitor or user of the open access online platform (hereinafter: the “Platform” or the “Website”), while providing information about your rights as a subject of the data.

2. For what purposes we process your data.
We process your data in accordance with applicable law in order to:
- the provision of open information and the use / utilization of tools, in general to businesses and employees regardless of the sector in which they are employed, who are active or have their headquarters and/or work in Western Athens,
- conducting research and processing-presenting their results in relation to the diagnosis and detection of business and employee adaptation needs to changes,
- the use of social media for mobilisation, information and exchange of views between employers, executives and employees in companies, as well as the use of this data (Internet Analytics),
- the development, production and free availability of methodological and digital content,
- the provision of electronic interactive information,
- access to tools, such as OPS Adaptability of Businesses and Workers of Western Athens – OPS PEEDA,
- the training and guidance of businesses, but also of the workforce,
- providing access to libraries, research results, statistical data necessary for policy-making and decision-making,
- the configuration of online tools for conducting research,
the creation of social capital, through information and useful topics, thus creating an important social capital that can create a development perspective, - providing automated forms that can guide and support both business and HR;
- the structured utilization of corresponding data from other surveys and data sources, e.g. in collaboration with the EIEAD, ELSTAT, OAED, TAXIS, the PES of the Ministry. Work etc.
- the “synthesis” of the above, through the development of a “Business Intelligence” (BI) system and the “on demand” or standardized formulation of “scenarios” for improving the skills of employees in relation to future developments,
- the development of a “Scenarios Planning Concept/SPC” system, through which free access will be provided to employers and employees for the formulation and implementation of business restructuring scenarios and the corresponding adaptation of employees to them,
- the development of tools for information, testing and benchmarking (benchmarking) of businesses in a series of issues, such as indicatively, mobilization of human resources, financial and financial issues, extroversion, introduction of innovation (organizational, dynamic, disruptive, etc.), productive procedures, introduction of new technologies and methods, logistics, etc.,
- the provision of systematic information on developments in professions, the transition of an employee from one job to another, training opportunities, etc.,
- the attraction and participation of employers and employees in electronic events (solving problems, case studies, queries, etc.),
- the development, dissemination and continuous improvement of tools and services for employers and employees, individually and/or in groups, with the aim of raising awareness, activating, monitoring and exploiting the results of the “products” of the Website (services, information, games, etc. ),
- the development of “problems” and the participation of employees in solving them, the development and support of the operation / guidance of electronic forums and the cultivation and promotion of excellence through business networking, indicatively, in matters of extroversion, management and development of human resources, special assurance conditions of jobs for people with disabilities and other vulnerable groups, plans and standards for self-improvement of employee skills, etc.,
- the dissemination of the operation, information and results of the Website through “Social Media”,
- the measurement of penetration, the evaluation of the profile of users (in terms of browsing, the use and utilization of the tools,
- information and services of the Website) and the formulation of proposals to improve the functionality and efficiency of the Website,
- the provision of online guidance services (e-HELP DESK), to those who encounter difficulties or problems using the free applications (tools, games, etc.),
- holding seminars, focus groups and annual conferences for information, networking, reporting, awarding and dissemination of the results of the operation of the Website.
We will only use your data for the above purposes. If we need to use your data for another purpose, we will contact you to obtain your consent or to explain the legal basis that allows us to do so, unless the subsequent purpose is compatible with the original, in accordance with the legislation. In any case, you can contact us for any necessary clarification.
3. Legal basis for processing.
We collect and process your data, whether simple or of special categories (e.g. disabled data), from you with your consent according to article 6 par. 1 a’ or 9 par. 2 a’ respectively of the General Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on Data Protection, every time you use the Platform and your consent is requested. In some cases (e.g. updates via RSS feeds, cookies), certain categories of data (see below “technical data” and “usage data”) are collected according to article 6 par. 1 f of the same Regulation, as necessary for the purposes of the legal interests we pursue for the operation, performance and continuous improvement of the Platform and the services provided.
4. Categories of Data We Collect.
We process the following data, by category and case by case:
- Identity data : includes first name, last name, username or similar identifier, date of birth and gender.
- Contact details: include email address, city and phone numbers.
- Education data: degree level, knowledge of foreign languages, additional qualifications, computer knowledge, professional skills, etc.
- Work data: work experience, professional subject, duration – cause of unemployment, employment status, position – duration of administrative responsibility, form – size – industry – business sector.
- Health data: includes data provided by you, if you wish, for special cases of research and specialized services provided (e.g. if you belong to a vulnerable group).
- Survey data: your answers – evaluations in addition to the above, which arise due to your participation in surveys.
- Technical Data : includes your Internet Protocol (IP) address, login details, browser type and version, time zone and location, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform, and other technology on the devices you use to access this Site website.
- Profile Data : includes your username and password, preferences, comments and survey responses.
- Usage Data : includes information about how you use the Platform and our services.
- Information Communications Data : includes your preferences regarding receiving updates from us and third parties and your preferences for communicating with us.
5. Third Party Sites.
The Platform interacts with external entities, such as P.S. of the National Mechanism DAAE (EIEAD), ELSTAT, Chambers with spatial reference in Western Athens, etc. and includes links to those with which it interacts with third parties. When you enable these links, you may be giving third parties the right to collect data about you. In this case, we do not control the websites and information systems of third parties, we are not responsible for their own data protection policies and we urge you to inform yourself about them before you make use of third party websites.
6. Cookies or other similar technologies.
The Platform uses “cookies” technologies, so that we can distinguish you from other visitors, record your IP address and the way you use our services. This information is used to help us provide you with better services by improving the design of the Platform, as well as our services and information actions. A cookie is a small data file that is placed on your computer’s hard drive when you visit a website. A “session cookie” expires as soon as you complete your session (ie when you close your browser). A “persistent cookie” stores information on your hard drive so that when you end your session and return to the same website at a later time, the cookie information is still available. We do not, to our knowledge, collect any information from any person under the age of 15. If we find that we have collected or received personal data from a child under the age of 15, we will delete that information. 8. Data Security.
We have put in place appropriate technical and organizational protection measures (including encryption, anonymization and/or pseudonymization procedures where deemed necessary) in order to prevent the inadvertent loss, alteration, disclosure and use or access of your personal data in an unauthorized manner. In addition, we limit access to your personal data only to those employees who need to know it in order to fulfill their professional duties, who process your data exclusively in accordance with our own instructions and undertake to observe relevant confidentiality terms. We have procedures in place to meet your requests and handle any potential personal data breach and will notify you and any relevant authority of any breach when we are required by law to do so.
9. Retention of Your Information.
We retain your personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which we collected it or to fulfill any legal obligation or until you withdraw your consent.
10. Your Rights.
You have the right to:
- Request access to your personal data. This enables you to obtain a copy of the personal data we hold about you and to confirm that we are processing it in accordance with the provisions of the law.
- Request correction of the personal data we hold about you. This enables you to correct inaccurate or complete incomplete data that we hold about you.
- Request deletion of your personal data. This enables you to ask us to delete all or some of your personal data when there is no reasonable reason for us to continue processing it.
- Object to the processing of your personal data where we rely on our legitimate interest (or the legitimate interest of a third party) and in this case you have reason to wish to object to the processing as you consider it affects your fundamental rights and freedoms.
- Request restriction of the processing of your personal data. This enables you to ask us to suspend the processing of your personal data in the following cases: (a) if you want us to confirm the accuracy of the data, (b) when our use of the data is unlawful, but you do not wish the their deletion by us, (c) when you wish us to retain your data even if we do not request it, in the event that it is necessary for you to assert, exercise or defend legal claims, or (d) you have objected to the use of your data by us but you must confirm whether we have compelling legitimate reasons to do so.
- Request the transfer of your personal data to you or to a third party. We will provide you, or a third party you indicate, with your personal data that is automatically processed with your consent, in a structured machine-readable format.
- Withdraw your consent at any time and free of charge, without prejudice to the lawfulness of the processing based on the consent prior to its withdrawal. If you withdraw your consent, we may not be able to provide certain services to you. We will inform you in such case when withdrawing your consent.
